5. Rick is alive!
As viewers, we have gotten the pleasure of knowing since the day Rick’s final episode aired that he did not die. We know Rick Grimes is set to have three amazing movies all focused on what has happened to him since Anne whisked him away on the helicopter that day. It has been a little over a year since we got all of that news and we have had time to process it.
This makes the list for two strong reasons. The first is Michonne may have never given up hope that Rick made it, but her life has had to keep moving. We have known this for over a year now, but it has been over five years for her and she doesn’t have our knowledge. She has searched and hoped but ultimately came up with nothing. Even in this mission for weapons, finding these clues was the last thing on her mind.
The other reason is that going into this episode, knowing that this will be the last episode with Michonne Grimes we had no idea what to expect. Fans would never want Michonne’s story to come to a tragic ending but we are watching The Walking Dead and no character is safe. Having such a wonderful moment with her finding these items left fans shouting, “WTF is it true?!”
This discovery left viewers and Michonne totally floored, with every emotion possible going through our head. Rick and Michonne were the ultimate power couple on The Walking Dead, so the tiniest hope that we may someday get to see them reunite just makes everyone’s heart soar.
