3. The New Oregon Trail

Does the Oregon Trail meet The Walking Dead? Talk about bizarre. At the very end of ‘What We Become,’ viewers are shown a massive organized convoy with hundreds maybe thousands of people within it. Like mentioned at the very beginning of this list since The Walking Dead focuses on a smaller area, and a close-knit group of people it’s often hard to think about the big picture.

The world is incredibly massive so it would be crazy to think that only our group has survived. Fear The Walking Dead opened us up to the possibility that nearly all of Texas has settlements and the teasers for The Walking Dead: World Beyond show us a big population in the Midwest survived as well. The Walking Dead, aside from a helicopter and a dream, hasn’t shown anything nearly that big.

The last time The Walking Dead branched out we got our current communities, and for the time that was a huge step. The idea of even one community surviving after what our group had been through seemed like a miracle. Finding Alexandria, Hilltop, and Kingdom was a marvelous time for this show.

Now our world just got so much bigger, and Michonne is heading right for it without fear, ready to find Rick. During this scene, we see this massive group of people heading out into the unknown, and it doesn’t seem like this is the first time this road has been traveled. The ending of this episode leaves us with more questions than answers.
