AMC announced that it will delay The Walking Dead season 10 finale until later in the year due to coronavirus. Fans had thoughts.

The Walking Dead finale announcement has come as a shock to fans. AMC announced today that due to post-production delays resulting from COVID-19, the finale of season 10 will be postponed until later in the year.

The announcement was made on the show’s Twitter page that episode 15 will air on April 5, and this will be the end of the current season. However, the planned finale will be a special episode that will air later in the year. On the bright side, we do get to see the majority of this season played out.  Hopefully, there isn’t a major cliff hanger that we will have to wait for.

Just last week, it was announced that The Walking Dead: The World Beyond will push back its scheduled release date. Fear the Walking Dead had just taken a break in filming ahead of the coronavirus outbreak, so they still have about half of season 6 to film. So, what was supposed to be a year of 42 episodes of The Walking Dead Universe in 2020 has turned out to be not quite that.

Many other series and films and have had to delay premiere dates due to COVID-19 quarantines or the recommended social distancing. Some films have gone directly to streaming services to avoid postponing the release. There is an extensive list of filming delays, which begs the question of when we will get to see many of these anticipated projects.

AMC posted this great new art featuring Daryl in the center of what looks to be a horde of walkers with a possible Whisperer directly behind him. Is this an actual scene or just some fantastic art?

Fans were understandably upset and took to social media to address this new information. Some were understanding and gave encouraging posts. Others took to comedy to vent their frustrations or to deal with their emotions regarding the postponement.
