The Walking Dead, What We Become: Things To Note
By Liam O'Leary
29) According to the log inside the naval ship Virgil and Michonne searched, the last stop in the log (Presumably when Rick was picked up?) was in New Jersey. How the hell did Rick end up in Jersey?
30) Speaking of things that are confusing: Why is there Japanese writing near the etchings of Michonne and Judith? When did Rick learn Japanese?
31) The footage of Rick and Michonne’s first meeting (The fifth archival footage spot), is, technically, Rick’s last appearance.
32) As Michonne prepares to go searching for Rick, she reverts to her old tactic of cutting off the arms and jaws of a pair of walkers and using them to ward off other walkers. The last time she did this was following the fall of the prison back in the Season Four mid-season premiere, “After”.
33) Where did that huge caravan Aiden and Bailey (The two survivors Michonne met) were part of came from? Where was it going?
34) Aiden and Bailey are neither named in their scenes with Michonne, nor in the end credits.
35) This episode gets its name from the tenth volume of The Walking Dead trade paperbacks (which it shares with the fourth The Walking Dead: Red Machete webisode), which features Rick and Abraham killing the comic equivalent of the Claimers.
And, with that, we’ve concluded our Things To Note for this week. Was there anything you missed? Was there anything I missed? Feel free to throw in your things to note in the comments!
