5. Alpha comes to life

While fans did rejoice that Alpha finally got her comeuppance, they were also very sad that they would no longer be able to see Samantha Morton. Alpha was an evil woman but Samantha Morton brought her to life in the most incredible ways. She was captivating to watch so to have her back on the screen was delightful even if it was frightening.

Carol has been struggling throughout season 10, and rightfully so considering her losses. At first, grief took a familiar form, distancing herself from everyone. As the season developed Carol has spiraled, and her actions have become questionable. She has abused caffeine pills as well as hallucinated other people and events.

Because of her actions, she blames herself for more and more. All of that comes to a head in this episode as her mind conjured up Alpha to haunt her. At this point in Carol’s story, this isn’t a huge shock, many viewers would say this is typical. Carol has never been one to check in with the group or stick with the plans, which is why it comes in at the bottom.

With all of that said, it still is very worthy of a place on this list based on the dialogue alone. Scenes that quote characters long gone come off as larger than life moments. Normally positive or in times of triumph. Hearing Alpha quote characters like Ed and Lizzie made for otherworldly content.
