15) It’s rather funny that Negan should revel in “Usurping” Alpha so much, considering how angry the prospect of Simon doing the same thing to him made back in Season Eight’s “Worth”.

16) The Whisperers who attempted to “coronate” Negan as the new Alpha are the twenty-sixth through twenty-eighth we’ve seen die (Approximately), and the twenty-ninth through thirty-first overall.

17) I think Ezekiel trying to diagnose his horse is the first time he’s every actually been able to show off he pre-apocalypse profession (Zookeeper) in the show before. I feel like that aspect of him gets forgotten a lot since Shiva died…

18) In what I think is another first, Ezekiel has to put his horse down due to a walker bite. I’m almost certain it’s the first animal to need this done for them.

19) This episode gets its name from Alpha’s ghost trying to convince Carol to give up and let herself be eaten by a walker, telling her: “Just Look At The Flowers like you’re supposed to.” Obviously, the significance of this line is that it was the last thing Carol said to Lizzie before putting her down for killing Mika back in Season Five’s “The Grove”.

20) This episode is also the first one to be titled with a quote from a character in an earlier season since the Season Seven premiere, “The Day Will Come When You Won’t Be”, the last thing Dr. Edwin Jenner said to Rick before the group left the CDC in the Season One finale, “TS-19”.

21) As Eugene, Yumiko, and Ezekiel ride into Charleston, the shot is very reminiscent of Rick riding into Atlanta (On a horse, no less), back in the very first episode, “Days Gone Bye”.
