The Walking Dead 1015 recap: The Tower
Negan cleans up in the kitchen when Lydia comes in and tells him that he can’t tell her what to do. He thinks she needs to hit him to feel better because she needs to mourn her. He knows about mourning. He says Alpha was still her mom, even if she was a bad one, or else she will keep drifting away from people. Lydia says he killed her mom to make himself a hero. She wants to hate her mother and she wants Negan to allow her to do that. She hits him, screaming at him, and the more she hits him the more she starts breaking down. Finally she collapses against him and he holds her, hugging her with tears in his eyes.
Princess opens the garage door to reveal an entire warehouse of bicycles. She was right about the wheels. Eugene says they’re better than walking, and Ezekiel points out that she wasn’t lying about the garage. He laughs, saying she came through.
Yumiko goes to her and Princess says she’s not a bad person and there are a lot of people who are bad out there, and it’s hard to take a chance on people so when people lie it really sucks. Yumiko agrees. Princess wishes she had done things differently. Yumiko asks if Princess would like to join them. Princes hugs her, elated. She tells them they should get supplies, including candy.
Daryl sees that Judith is upset that they just left the woman in the ditch. She asks him what he would want if he was lost. Or RJ, or her mom. Judith wishes they were all back together. Daryl says he radioed Michonne to tell her not to go to Alexandria so she’s safe. Judith says she talked to her mom after the fire and says her mom went to help people who needed help. She didn’t want to tell Daryl because she was afraid he would leave too. She makes him promise, which he can’t do because he can’t lie to her. He reminds her of all the people who care about her, and one day she will have to take care of them. He says that you can’t replace things that you lose but that doesn’t mean everything else will break their hearts.
As they walk away, Gabriel radios through and says that they have been surrounded. The camera pans back to show Beta standing with the walkers. “Faith. Reward,” he growls.
The Walking Dead will return later this year.
