Remember when Norman Reedus appeared in Lady Gaga’s music video for her new song “Judas”, which dropped over Easter weekend in 2011?

The Walking Dead fans know Norman Reedus has done a lot in his career, from creating works of art to starring in hit television shows and movies to taking fans on adventures all over the world and appearing in one of the biggest video games of 2019. Reedus also appeared in Lady Gaga’s “Judas” music video, which dropped over Easter weekend back in 2011.

Lady Gaga portrayed Mary Magdalene, the music video also featured The Walking Dead star Norman Reedus as the titular Judas, a member of the biblical biker gang portrayed in the video.

Reedus rides alongside Gaga and Rick Gonzalez, who plays Jesus, as the story plays out in the video. The apostles are all members of the biker gang and Lady Gaga’s Mary Magdalene is torn between her devotion to Jesus and Judas.

Fast forward to 2020 and Norman Reedus is still riding, with the season 4 finale of Ride with Norman Reedus coming on April 12, Easter night.

Lady Gaga is known for her incredibly over the top performances. She’s a classically trained musician who is as comfortable performing with Tony Bennett as she is singing with Beyonce, Flo Rida and New Kids on the Block. She’s a once in a lifetime kind of artist who is able to combine elements to create her own unique style of music.

She’s also no stranger to controversy.

When Lady Gaga released her song “Judas” on Easter weekend in 2011, it didn’t matter how many critics praised the song and the video because there were concerns that the religious overtones were offensive, particularly on one of the holiest holidays of the Christian calendar.
