Fear the Walking Dead season 5 DVD release date
Fans can catch up on the most recent season of Fear the Walking Dead when the season 5 DVD set goes on sale in May 2020.
Fear the Walking Dead season 5 is coming to DVD and Blu-ray on May 19, 2020. The timing of the DVD release is perfect now that season 6 (at least the first half of it) has been confirmed for this summer. And with so many people still sheltering in place, having a season 5 rewatch is the perfect way to pass the time and get ready for the new season.
Season 5 saw a lot of changes coming to the Fear TWD crew as Alicia, Strand, Morgan and the group were joined by fellow original cast member Daniel Salazar (Ruben Blades) in an effort to help people in need. Along the way, they met new friends who have become part of their group.
Their efforts to help others were thwarted by everything from mother nature, nuclear fallout, Polar Bear’s former partner and finally newcomer Virginia. Virginia is the leader of a mysterious group of key-bearing folks in western wear whose motives are unclear. Season 5 ended with Virginia’s people splitting everyone up, with Morgan left to die by himself as walkers close in.
As of this writing, there is a lot of uncertainty in The Walking Dead Universe thanks to the far-reaching effects of novel coronavirus. Fear started shooting season 6 in December, and instead of taking its planned filming hiatus in March the show’s filming and production stopped completely amid the outbreak.
With The Walking Dead’s season 10 finale delayed and new spinoff The Walking Dead: World Beyond’s premiere rescheduled until later this year, there’s every reason to believe that the first half of Fear season 6 is all fans might see in 2020 if production is delayed much longer.
