I’m good

Okay this isn’t a whole scene but a throw away moment that tickled many folks on social media, so had to make the list.

“Squeeze” is arguably one of the season’s darker episodes – literally and metaphorically – thanks to the threat to life to so many of our core group, and Carol’s dark state of mind. However, thanks to the fabulousness of Angel Theory it managed to deliver a real laugh out loud moment.

As the cave gang make their way through the cracks and crevices, desperately trying to escape, they reach an ever narrowing gap that ends in a tunnel. Leader Daryl gets their first and calls for the others to follow his voice, while he waits at the exit to offer a helping hand. Magna makes her way out first and hops down lithely.

However, when Kelly follows, Daryl reaches for her ax and Kelly – being the self-reliant ball of energy she is – doesn’t use his arm strength to allow a graceful exit from her birthing cave. Instead Kelly makes her own path and rolls head first down to the ground.

The sight of her legs in the air, her body vanished off camera is then made perfect by the disembodied “I’m good” she calls from the ground.

It’s made even funnier knowing that in fact it wasn’t a scripted line, but Angel letting the crew know she was fine after her unplanned exit. Proof that sometimes something going a little wrong in filming can give us the most memorable moments.
