As a big fan of the Seattle Seahawks, Jeffrey Dean Morgan has a few things he wants to see the team accomplish during the 2020 NFL Draft.

While Jeffrey Dean Morgan made his debut as Negan on AMC’s The Walking Dead during the show’s season 6 finale, he has both enraged and endeared himself to viewers through his amazing interactions on social media and wonderful performances an actor.

Even with a busy life of tending to a ranch and entertaining fans, the actor is still finding time to engage everyone, whether it is on Friday Night In with the Morgans or appearances on talk shows and other programs.

Recently, Jeffrey Dean Morgan was a guest on the Rich Eisen Podcast where he talked about his animals and family life, but it didn’t take long for the discussion to turn to his favorite NFL team, the Seattle Seahawks.

During the discussion hosted on the NBC Sports website, he reveals his COVID-19 mask made by his wife is themed on the Seahawks, but the sports discussion didn’t stop there. Eisen and JDM talked about last year’s return of Marshawn Lynch and Seattle’s playoff run but then the talk turned to the future.

Looking ahead to the 2020 NFL season, Jeffrey Dean Morgan hopes the Seahawks use their first-round draft pick (pick 27 overall) or at least an early pick on an offensive lineman and believes the team also needs to look at an edge rusher if they can’t figure out a contract move with Jadeveon Clowney.

JDM added that year’s draft is strange because of the impact of COVID-19 and the draft process itself will make evaluating players much more hands-off than it had been during previous years. Still, he hopes Seattle drafts some high character players who can make an impact on the field.

During FanSided’s Expert Mock Draft, Lee Vowell of 12th Man Rising chose defensive end Yetur Gross-Matos. That pick would be in line with Jeffrey Dean Morgan’s hope to replace Clowney on the defensive line.

It’s refreshing to hear a star from The Walking Dead talking about something other than the popular AMC zombie drama or the troubles facing the world today. Jeffrey Dean Morgan is a Seattle Seahawks superfan, so there is no doubt he will be watching when the 2020 NFL Draft starts on Thursday, April 23. Plus, be sure to check out Friday Night In with the Morgans on AMC Friday nights.
