5 characters to self-quarantine with from The Walking Dead
Now that we’re all spending more time at home, it’s easy to imagine which characters from The Walking Dead we’d want to be with during our self-quarantine.
The Walking Dead fans know that the characters have been through a lot, but even they might be challenged by the unprecedented happenings in the real world these days. Amid the efforts to stop the spread of novel coronavirus, fans have time to imagine what it might be like to have some of the characters around while we’re all self-quarantining. Though the possibilities are endless, we picked five characters that would be fun to be stuck inside with for an extended period of time.
Honestly, it wasn’t easy to only pick five. This list is not exhaustive, rather it serves as a starting point for fun conversation, because at the end of the day this is all about fun.
Before we get started, let’s address the fact that the two OGs of The Walking Dead, Carol and Daryl, are not on this list. While many fans would love to be holed up with Carol or Daryl, the reality is that neither one of them would want to be stuck indoors. They don’t like being in one place for too long, especially when they don’t have the option to leave. Sure, we’d pick either one to be our quarantine shopping buddy (Carol would find the toilet paper!) but Carol and Daryl would be climbing the walls while you’re trying to Netflix and chill. So they’re not on the list.
5 Characters To Self-Quarantine With From The Walking Dead
Beta
Okay, so Beta might seem like a strange choice for a quarantine partner. But consider this: He’s a quiet guy. Instead of talking through your daily binge-watch, he’s going to be pensive and thoughtful. He might play a record every now and then, and he might be a little emotional, but for the most part, he’s big on quiet time and that can be a good thing when you can’t get away from each other for an extended period of time.
The other upside is that Beta is good at following rules. He’ll stay six feet away from people, and you can bet a guy like Beta will call people out for not wearing masks.
Ezekiel
When you’re stuck inside for weeks on end, you need to know that the person you’re with is someone who can make you smile. Ezekiel’s penchant for making lemonade out of every lemon thrown his way is something you come to appreciate in the middle of a quarantine. He exudes positivity (especially season 7 Ezekiel), and who doesn’t love that smile?
Not only that, but being stuck for a long period of time with a man who can recite Shakespeare is hot. Trust us on this one.
Princess
We just met Princess, but she’s fun and kind and kind of crazy, and she knows what it’s like to be stuck on your own for a long time. That means she would be down for those long games of Monopoly or a 16-hour binge watching session – so long as she has company, she would be down for all of it.
Not only is she fun to be around, but she is incredibly creative. Soon your living room could be an undead version of the Pageant of the Masters!
Luke
Like Princess, Luke is entertaining. He plays music, he sings and he generally has a great time wherever he goes. (If you have a Stradivarius around, even better!) While Luke might not be the guy you’d want to be in a battle with, he would be a perfect quarantine buddy because he’s upbeat and positive and willing to go along with just about everything.
Jerry
Three words: Jerry Can Cook.
As Ezekiel’s right hand man, jovial Jerry has always been dependable and loyal, with a smile that can light up the room. It would be hard to be upset with him, and even after weeks of being stuck together it’s hard to imagine being tired of his constant companionship.
And he can cook. From cobbler to other delicacies made from whatever happens to be available, he’s a resourceful cook who loves using food to bring a smile to his friends’ faces.
