Salute to the moms of The Walking Dead Universe – Mother’s Day 2020

Rosita

Rosita became a mom to darling Coco at some point during the gap between season 9 and 10. She was fortunate to have had one heck of a support system early on, with Coco’s father Siddiq, Rosita’s boyfriend Father Gabriel and her faithful friend Eugene. The four of them made for quite the quadrangle.

Siddiq’s tragic death was a blow for Rosita, who suddenly found herself raising a daughter by herself. While Gabriel is there for her, she was acutely aware that if she died then Coco wouldn’t have her parents, and this is something that will no doubt play out in season 11 as the Whisperers threaten the survivors in ways they could never imagine.

Maggie

What kind of a mother is Maggie? Well, that’s a tough question because fans haven’t seen much of her as a mother since she left Hilltop before we could see much of her with little Hershel. However, we do know one thing: Mama Maggie fought in All Out War while she was pregnant, and that says a lot about how incredible she is.

After losing Glenn, Maggie’s focus was on protecting her unborn child and building a better world for him. After giving birth, she transformed Hilltop into a blossoming community with help from Tara, Jesus and Enid. She had to make some difficult decisions, like sentencing Gregory to death and turning her back when she and Daryl discovered that the Oceanside women were killing the Saviors.

She has been with Georgie since leaving Hilltop, but she will return in the season 10 finale and she will play a role in season 11.
