Season 4: Everyone goes to Terminus.

For this season, I can’t really put the blame on any one person, because everybody decided to forego the lessons they were taught as children, and do the zombie apocalypse equivalent of getting into the van belonging the sketchy person offering to show them puppies. I speak, of course, of going to Terminus.

This seems really simple to me. It’s not like Rick’s group hadn’t met sketchy people before, both Rick and Michonne had had run-ins with hostiles who initially appeared friendly, only to be extremely hostile (To be fair, Rick, Michonne, Carl, and Daryl were cautious about entering Terminus, so, they at least had that going for them), so, it’s not like they weren’t familiar with duplicity being a tactic hostiles employed, so…why did everyone else just believe that Terminus was okay?

Maybe they were just drained from losing the prison/traveling all the way from Houston (In Abraham, Eugene, and Rosita’s case) that that sort of caution was outweighed by the desire for some kind of stability, I don’t know. What I do know is that, if Carol and Tyreese hadn’t have stumbled onto Terminus when and where they did, at the very least, the group would have lost Glenn, even if Rick freed himself in time to prevent Glenn from being carved into steaks.

Sure, they managed to escape, and Rick probably would have cut himself free and rescued everyone else, but, the mere fact the group got caught in that trap at all, when just a little bit of caution could have spared them a very traumatic experience that further drove Rick into Crazytown, and did nothing good for Tyreese.

If something seems too good to be true, and you buy into it anyway…I don’t know what to tell you, man.
