Carol’s biggest moments with the children on The Walking Dead.

As one of the last remaining characters from season one, it’s safe to say that Carol Peletier has been through quite a lot. Carol’s story has often revolved around the children in her life, be it them causing incredible amounts of grief for her or them helping to bring her back from the edge of insanity. Whether positive or negative, Carol’s experience with each of them shaped her into the character we know and love ten seasons into the show.

It all started with Sophia, Carol’s biological daughter who was never really cut out for the apocalypse. Then there was the troubled Lizzie and Mika, two sisters who struggled to understand the severity of the zombie apocalypse. Next was Sam, a naive Alexandrian boy who was afraid of just about everything. Last up was Henry, Carol’s adopted son who she spent over six years raising alongside King Ezekiel.

While her experiences with each of those kids came to tragic ends, she would not be the person she is now without them. Carol is stronger for having fought through the repeated trauma, and even when it looked like she was too far gone after Henry’s death, she still managed to come back from the brink of despair on her own.

Let’s take a look at Carol’s biggest moment with each of her “children” throughout her ten seasons on The Walking Dead!
