5. Establish Beta as a fearless foe

Alpha was terrifying. Her ruthless nature made her one of the most intimidating antagonists The Walking Dead has ever seen and leaving the Whisperers in the hands of Beta means he needs to strike fear into the hearts of the survivors.

Beta may not be as cunning or mindful as Alpha, but he can get things done a different way: through brute force. He needs to take his respect from the survivors and allow the Whisperers to be a major threat as the battle between these two groups rages on.

6. Find out what is happening with Alden and Aaron

Last time these two survivors have been seen on television, they were abducted by a group of Whisperers who didn’t express what their intentions are following the capture. Odds are that the decision will be made by Beta once they return to the group.

The hope is that Beta won’t decide to kill them. Instead, he could realize he has some value in these individuals and use them in a trade or, in case of emergency, a show of mercy if the tide of the battle changes.

7. A confrontation between Negan and Maggie

Maggie could have killed Negan on a couple of occasions, Instead, she has shown mercy and found his continued existence to be more of a punishment for his past acts than executing him out of revenge.

Now that Negan is out of his cell and isn’t being watched after, how will Maggie feel about this situation? And will she be able to keep her emotions in check when there are much bigger fish to fry at the moment? The dynamic between these two characters could be a major plot point.
