6) “A miracle” can’t be the extent of your plan.

Like I was just saying, God helps those who help themselves. If you’re expecting everything to be done for you, especially as things get hairy in a zombie apocalypse, one thing you can’t expect is to live for very long.

Once again, I’m not saying that I don’t believe in miracles. I do. What I am saying, however, is that your plan for surviving a doomsday scenario in the apocalypse can’t just boil down to hoping for a miracle.

Now, I’ll grant, there may come times where that is your only hope, and, in that case, you should pray for one, but, if your plan from the get-go is “Well, we just need a miracle!”, then…you’re in big trouble.

The whole reason I came up with this is that, from where I was sitting, it looked like the alliance had blundered their way into a doomsday scenario: They went to the tower, which is a very vulnerable place to hide in, as Beta’s siege of it has made obvious, they didn’t seem to set any traps for the Whisperers and their horde, it didn’t even look like they were terribly prepared for a fight!

I could easily be wrong about those (Though, I feel like my opinion on the tower as a hideout is pretty solid, to be honest). For all I know, the alliance didn’t have enough time or weapons to do much more than what they did, in which case, it’s better than nothing. But, it felt like they didn’t simply know that they wouldn’t have done well going toe-to-toe with the Whisperers and the horde (Which is true), but decided that, because they wouldn’t have done well, not to really bother. It felt like they’d put themselves in a scenario where their only hope was a miracle.

I know there are times where such situations are thrust upon you, but, those are never situations you should thrust upon yourself.
