TWD: World Beyond star Nicolas Cantu helps raise over $20k for charity

TWD: World Beyond star Nicolas Cantu helps raise money for crisis hotline

The Walking Dead fans may not have had a chance to meet Nicolas Cantu yet, but the World Beyond star has been doing a lot to help those in need. Cantu, who has a huge social media following, helped to raise over $20k for Crisis Text Line.

Cantu came together with his friends from the SMP Live community to raise money for an incredibly important cause, Crisis Text Line, which provides global support to people in need through texts. Sometimes people need to talk and Crisis Text Line provides an instant support system through text messaging.

When World Beyond premieres this fall, the TWD Family will have a chance to see Cantu in action as Elton. You may have seen him in teasers and promotional photos. He’s the teen who is always sporting the most dapper ensemble in the apocalypse. (Sorry, Victor Strand, but Elton is here to give you a little competition)

If Cantu seems familiar but you can’t place his face, don’t worry because you might know him better through his voice. Cantu is actually widely known as a voice actor and has appeared in several major animated cartoons and features including The Amazing World of Gumball, Dora the Explorer and Sofia the First. He also frequented Old Navy commercials as a child.

The sixteen year-old actor is also a very famous YouTube star and gamer. If he’s not streaming on Twitch he’s making videos on YouTube and interacting with his massive fanbase.

The world of The Walking Dead will be a big chance for Cantu and the rest of the World Beyond cats, but I can tell you that it’s going to be a lot of fun. I have seen the pilot episode and I visited the set last year, and they’re doing things that fans haven’t seen anywhere else in the TWD Universe.
