The Walking Dead’s Khary Payton introduces his son Karter to social media.
Khary Payton who plays the beloved King Ezekiel on The Walking Dead took to Twitter and Instagram to make a supportive announcement about his son during the middle of Pride Month. His Twitter post has now gathered over three hundred thousand likes and countless fans and friends have commented in support.
The news was first announced by Karter’s mother Stacy Reed Payton a couple of days before Kharys viral post. Both posts echo the same message, that when Karter was born they thought he was a girl, and they were wrong, he is a boy. Khary and Stacy’s posts both have an overwhelming sense of pride and joy for their little one, very fitting for Pride Month.
Khary states in his post that his son picked the name Karter, with a K, because it reminded him of his father’s name. Stacy’s post says that Karter is thrilled to let everyone know that he is living as his true self, a boy.
Karter is currently being overwhelmed with love via these posts by thousands of fans and many famous names. The Walking Dead’s official account quoted the tweet with a nice message of support. As well as Mark Hamill, Luke Skywalker himself, sending a huge thumbs up back to Karter.
