10. Friday Night In with the Morgans (2020)
COVID-19 changed everything for television. Many scripted series and other programs suffered showdowns or delays, with AMC’s zombie dramas also feeling the impact of the pandemic. However, the situation opened the door for more unscripted, live entertainment.
Jeffrey Dean Morgan and his wife Hilarie Burton started hosting a socially-distant talk show on AMC that fans seem to adore. Each week, the couple invites individuals to join them from via webcam from their own homes to discuss whatever topics come to their minds.
It is a bit refreshing to see Morgan being himself and relaxing. Considering how intense or outlandish some of his acting roles have been over the years, it has to be nice to not only get a show greenlit based on his popularity and ability to entertain without a script.
With the generally positive reception of the show, it will be interesting to see if Friday Night In with the Morgans continues on AMC when TV production starts back up, but it is at least something fun and interesting to hold fans over until they can see the Negan actor back on The Walking Dead.
