2) Learn to make fire

Have you ever made a fire before? Like, a campfire? If not, it’s something you might want to learn before the zombie apocalypse hits.

If you feel the need to ask why, think about the last few things you’ve had for supper, did you eat them raw? Would you eat chicken, or, most fish, or most vegetables, raw? No, because you’d get sick, something you really can’t afford in a zombie apocalypse.

So, it’s a pretty important skill to learn, and one that you don’t want to try to survive without, Hell, half the reason we’re even here to discuss this sort of thing is because our ancestors learned to master fire, it’s one of the biggest steps in human development.

Now, you might think we don’t need to worry about knowing how to make fire when we have matches and lighters and other things, but…what if we don’t have those things? We’re suddenly going to find ourselves in a very dark, very cold world, unable to eat a lot of our food, wondering what’s roaming around in the dark, hoping that a zombie doesn’t stumble onto us because we’ll have no way of seeing anything, keeping warm, or cooking our food.

Sometimes, the simplest things are the most vital.
