6. Darius Slay, cornerback – Philadelphia Eagles

Although he’s no longer a member of the “Motor City Kitties” after the Detroit Lions let him leave in free agency, Darius Slay earned a reputation as a shutdown cornerback before he was signed by the Eagles this offseason.

“Big Play Slay” is a physical defender who isn’t afraid to go head-to-head against any wide receiver. It doesn’t matter if they are taller, faster, or stronger than him, he is ready to go on every defensive snap.

Winning fights isn’t always about the offense that can be exerted. Slay would be the countering piece on the battlefield that pairs well with attackers to keep from being snuck up on by opposing survivors.

Of course, it doesn’t hurt that Slay is a big fan of The Walking Dead and could likely become transition seamlessly to a zombie apocalypse, both when to comes to dealing with walkers and fitting into a community.
