The Walking Dead star Eleanor Matsuura’s birthday is July 16
In the apocalypse, Eleanor Matsuura’s Yumiko represents grace under pressure as she works to keep the people she cares about safe from harm. In real life, The Walking Dead star is elegant and graceful, with a great sense of humor. Matsuura is celebrating her birthday on July 16 and it’s a great time to celebrate her role on the show.
Season 10 has been a major turning point for Yumiko, who has been running things at Hilltop in the wake of losing Tara and Jesus. Though Hilltop fell in the battle against the Whisperers, it didn’t stop her from being the natural born leader that she is.
When Yumiko set out with Eugene and Ezekiel to find Eugene’s radio friend, she was skeptical of Princess. After everything that happened to the group in recent months, trust is not something that comes easily for her. In the end she realizes that in spite of everything you have to take that leap of faith, and now Princess has joined their group.
Yumiko’s relationship with Magna had been on the rocks throughout season 10 and finally they agreed that they would be better off as friends. They still care deeply for each other and realize that in the apocalypse you don’t have the luxury of being angry with people because death is lurking everywhere. In many ways, their relationship is probably stronger than ever even though they’re not actually a couple anymore.

Fans will have a chance to catch up with The Walking Dead cast during their panel at Comic-Con at Home on July 24. While Matsuura has not been announced for the panel, she could be added so make sure to keep an eye out for updates.
