Virginia does not know Morgan’s fate in Fear the Walking Dead season 6
By Adam Carlson
Morgan’s future was left up in the air at the end of Fear the Walking Dead season 5 but fans aren’t the only ones wondering if the character is still alive.
Last time fans saw Morgan Jones on Fear the Walking Dead, he was in a real pickle. He was wounded by gunshots and left to fight for his life against approaching walkers with nobody around to help him.
However, there is hope Morgan may have survived this situation and will survive into the show’s sixth season. At Comic-Con@Home, executive producers Andrew Chambliss and Ian Golberg revealed that Virginia, the woman who left Morgan for dead, isn’t quite sure she got the job done.
In the trailer video for season 6, Virginia is heard recruiting a headhunter of sorts to track Morgan down and confirm his status. This headhunter seems to mean business, as he has boxes marked for seemingly collecting the heads of his targets.
The hopeful part is that someone came to help him and he was able to escape. The flip side of that coin is how Morgan is seen with red zombie-like eyes, adding more concern to the future of Lennie James’ character.
It would be heartbreaking to see Morgan become a walker. Considering he is the longest known surviving character still appearing as a regular on AMC’s zombie drama shows, it would be a real blow to the lore of the TWD Universe to say farewell to Lennie James whether Morgan dies or becomes a walker.
As for Virginia, there is no doubt that she sees Morgan as a massive threat. Not only is he an excellent fighter but he’s a good leader and a solid judge of character. If he lives, he could be a real thorn in her side as she attempts to divide the survivors and neutralize them.
Be sure to check out Fear the Walking Dead when it returns for its sixth season on AMC to find out what happens with Morgan and the lengths Virginia will go to in order to ensure that her community thrives.
