2) Maggie’s return

For a show that has recently said goodbye to so many key characters from the early seasons, the announcement that Maggie would be returning to the show was a big deal. With a preview of episode 1016 revealing that Maggie would return in the season 10 finale, fans have been begging for any hints at how her return will go down.

While Lauren Cohan (aka Maggie herself) remained tight-lipped about the circumstances behind Maggie coming back, she was able to tease a little bit by saying that Maggie’s return is “not just a visit.”

Simply put, Maggie is back for good. When Cohan was asked if it was difficult to portray a character after taking so much time off, she claimed that “it felt like I never really left.” This is heartwarming to hear for members of the TWDFamily and should leave fans excited that Maggie will feel right at home in her return to the show.

Angela Kang was also able to give fans a little tidbit of information about how Maggie will fare when she sees all that has gone down since she left. According to the showrunner, it will “not [be] an easy road” for Negan and Maggie in the future. Maggie hasn’t been around to see any of Negan’s quest for redemption, so her reaction to him walking around freely will be severe.

Whether Maggie and Negan will clash in the season 10 finale remains to be seen, but fans should be looking forward to Maggie coming back regardless.
