Skybound’s Johnny O’Dell joins the podcast to talk all things The Walking Dead
You might not know Johnny O’Dell personally, but if you’re a fan of The Walking Dead then odds are that you’ve probably read his work since he is the man behind the Skybound social media accounts and their @TheWalkingDead Twitter handle. O’Dell joined Sarabeth Pollock on this week’s Undead Walking Podcast to talk about all of the exciting news from Skybound and The Walking Dead coming out of the Skybound XPO and Comic-Con at Home.
The past few weeks have been a whirlwind of news and announcements for the TWD Family and O’Dell has been in the thick of it.
In the podcast he talks about some of the projects he knew about in advance as well as the announcements that he learned about right before they happen.
O’Dell is uniquely suited to talk about the world of The Walking Dead considering he lives and breathes the comics, the show and everything else tied to Skybound’s juggernaut. With Robert Kirkman’s Invincible, for example, he knew about the voice casting for quite some time but couldn’t say anything to anyone until the big announcement came at Comic-Con at Home.
He also has access to daily footage from the shows, so when he offers a hint about something (i.e. the season 10 finale is awesome) he comes from a place of having seen it. During our conversation we break down the news from SDCC and our thoughts about Fear TWD season 6 and the debut of World Beyond.
