6 new questions about Fear The Walking Dead season six

1) Who is June treating, and, more importantly, why?

In the SDCC trailer, we see several scenes of June attempting to resuscitate a man who, in a later scene, turns, and June and (Presumably) an assistant, have to put down.

My first question is who is this person? Now, for all we know, this might just be some rando at one of the Pioneers’ outposts, who got injured or bitten. Honestly, it’s impossible at this time to know who the person (Or people, with the way the scenes are, we can’t necessarily assume we’re watching June treat the same person in both), though, I do wonder if this is a person who joined Morgan’s group that we met last season, or, if it’s a new (Important) character we meet as this new season progresses.

My second question, is, I think, a more important one: Why is June needing to treat this person in the first place? I mean, obviously, they got either bitten or grievously injured, but, under what circumstances?

Several times in the trailer, we see members of the group being confronted by medium-sized herds of walkers, including Strand and John (Boy, aren’t those guys busy in the trailer?!), having to fight off or escape these herds, apparently, by themselves. Do the Pioneers wind up dealing with an increased threat of walkers this season than what we saw last season?

The other possibility, that of June’s patient getting a more conventional injury, raises further questions, like: What kind of injury? Was it sustained in a battle or a raid? By whom? The Pale Riders? Do they become a serious enough threat that Virginia buries her beef with Morgan’s group? Or, do the Pale Riders become unlikely allies to the group as they try to overthrow the Pioneers?

Whatever the case is, it makes me wonder if June frantically trying to keep a person alive is a window into a larger threat the group has to deal with this season.
