3) Who captured Alicia? And why?

About a third of the way into the trailer, we see what looks like Alicia strapped to an operating(?) table in a dingy, grimy looking room with a pair of workbenches and what appears to be a mobile toolbox, for lack of a better term. If I were to compare it to something, I would say it resembled the illegal surgeon’s office the Joker went to in Tim Burton’s first Batman movie.

Who in the blue Hell is going around doing this? The obvious guess would be Virginia, but, ruthless as she is, this just doesn’t suit her. While it’s certainly possible that she’s the culprit, this looks more like something we’d expect from the Governor or the Whisperers (If they had a base to speak of).

Another possibility is that it’s the bounty hunter, who we see with a dog (Which is used to frighten Walter) in another scene in the trailer, which also shows his place as kind of a dingy, broken-down affair, so, the environment lines up, if nothing else. If he’s willing to threaten someone with mauling by a dog to get something he wants, I doubt threatening torture is beyond the pale for him, yet, in the scene where we see him collect Walter’s head, he seems like much more of a professional — Someone who goes in, collects the bounty, and goes out, nothing more, nothing less — so, him being the culprit is not set in stone by any means. Maybe Alicia has been captured by the Pale Riders, and this is just a glimpse into just how weird and creepy they are?

Regardless of who captured Alicia, the bigger question is…why? The torture chamber feel of the room suggests Alicia is set to be interrogated by someone, but, what for? If it is the bounty hunter, presumably, he’d be asking Alicia about Morgan, if it isn’t…that raises more questions: Is the person just a sadist? Who is this person? And, if they’ve been doing this for a while (Which, one would figure they have been), how have they flown under the radar of the Pioneers and the Pale Riders, assuming they’re not one of them?
