The summary for Fear TWD season 6 reveals clues about what’s coming

As if the new key art for Fear TWD season 6 wasn’t enough, the new season summary for the show reveals some interesting information about what lies ahead after Virginia’s Pioneers tore the group apart at the end of Fear the Walking Dead season 5.

Things were in a very dark place at the end of season 5 when the group was torn apart. John and June had just been married, Grace discovered that she is pregnant and things were looking good despite the fact that the group was stuck without supplies.

The question on everyone’s minds is whether or not Morgan Jones survives. We know Lennie James will appear behind the camera in season 6, and the new key art reveals that he might have survived being shot in the finale, but that doesn’t mean things are looking up for him. His blood-red eyes suggest he’s dealing with something else…

Here’s a statement from Lennie James about the key art:

"The cast and crew of Fear the Walking Dead are very excited to share this piece of key art with our amazing fans. Last season left Morgan in a very perilous situation. We cannot wait for you to discover what happens next to him and the rest of the group in our new season this fall. A truly transformative season that will see all of the gang challenged in ways they haven’t ever been before. Some will rise. Some will fall. None will remain the same. The Past Is Dead! Tune in October 11 for the next chapter!"

In addition to the statement from Lennie James, AMC also revealed the season 6 summary and it offers some hints about what’s coming:

"Season six of Fear the Walking Dead explores what has become of the unlikely family once united by a mission to help those in need. After being torn apart by Virginia (Colby Minifie) and her Pioneers, the group is now dispersed across her far-reaching settlements. Morgan’s (Lennie James) last message at the end of season five implored the group to “Just Live” and this season we’ll see what that means to each of them. Some will find the stability and opportunity within Virginia’s communities to be intriguing, some will sink into darkness, while others will fight back against what has been forced upon them. Life behind Virginia’s walls will test each and every one of them in different ways, forcing them to define who they are in this new world."

There is no question that Fear the Walking Dead is going to be darker than ever before, and the world is changing faster than anyone could have imagined. After two seasons of setting up a group whose mission was to help others, the group now finds itself torn apart and looking for help of their own.

It’s intriguing to think that some people will benefit from Virginia’s communities. The group has been without a home for a while now, choosing to travel on the open road to help people. And with so many people torn apart from loved ones, like John and June and Sarah and Wendell, you have to think that they will continue to fight to be together again. Then again, Strand always finds a way to make the most of a situation, and Daniel Salazar knows how to blend in, but this begs the question of whether some people will want to be saved at all.
