What do we want to see for Eugene in the season 10 finale of The Walking Dead?

The Walking Dead’s Eugene Porter came on the scene way back in season 4. He, along with Abraham Ford and Rosita Espinosa, meet up with Glenn and Tara on the roadside after the fall of the prison. Eugene is a survivor, even going so far as to create a story about knowing the cure to the virus that is infecting the dead. This ensured that people would protect him to put a stop to the raising of the dead.

As we find ourselves a little less than a month and a half until the season10 finale airs on October 4, many questions are being asked about what we will encounter in this episode.

From the looks of the extended trailer, there is a lot of action to be had in this coming finale. Eugene is on a mission alongside Yumiko, King Ezekiel, and one of the newest members of the cast Princess, played by Paola Lázaro. They are on the road to meet up with Stephanie, another newcomer, played by Margot Bingham. Stephanie and Eugene had been corresponding via radio, and now they are off to meet up with her.

Eugene has a chance to man up and become a leader in the communities; below are three things we would love to see for him in the finale.

UNDERSTANDING

Eugene is the nerd of the bunch, and he can be a bit awkward, but he is brilliant, and often he is just misunderstood. If given a chance, Eugene could be a leader in his own right.  He may not be a fighter, but he has the brains and know-how to use science to advance the communities effectively.

With his recent success in contacting another community, perhaps, people will see him in a new light.

SURVIVAL

We have seen Eugene defend himself, even though he is no match for a Daryl or a Michonne, he has come a long way since he first met up with Abraham and had no clue how to defend himself.

Again, it goes back to his brains and the things he is capable of accomplishing. He needs to survive to continue bringing new ideas to the table for the greater good of the communities.

LOVE

It seems that love and relationships are all around Eugene, but sadly there hasn’t been anyone for him. He has always had a deep affection for Rosita, but she set him straight, explaining they would never be a couple.

He hit it off with Stephanie, the girl he met on the radio, but it has yet to be seen if that will blossom into more than just a friendship.

In the current season, Eugene and the gang find themselves perhaps love just isn’t something on his mind, but it would be sweet for him to find someone to share his life with.

The countdown is on for the season 10 finale that will air on October 4.
