9. Meghan Chambler

  • Debut: Episode 407
  • Death: Episode 408
  • Total run alive: 2 episodes
  • Appeared in: 3 episodes

Some fans of the show might not recognize this character’s name since it has been six seasons since she appeared on The Walking Dead, but there felt like there were a lot of missed opportunities with Megan Chambler while the storyline at the prison was happening.

Fans may remember Meghan as the young girl played by Meyrick Murphy who was part of a family of survivors taking shelter in their apartment building, Her mother Lily and aunt Tara looked after her as David, Megan’s grandfather, was terminally ill.

Meghan was a breath of fresh air during a very dark time. The curious young lady bonded with the Governor, including learning to play chess, joking that the Governor was a pirate due to his eye patch, playing cards, teaching her about walkers, and more.

When David eventually died and reanimated, the Governor took care of the walker, and then they moved to a “safer place” where Megan was sitting on the beach and was bitten by a walker. It’s particularly hard to say goodbye to kids on this show since the future of the apocalypse will need them to move forward.

It would have been nice to see Judith and the other youngsters in the zombie apocalypse grow up with Megan and hopefully become the next generation of survivors on the show, but that pesky walker stopped that idea dead in its tracks.
