It’s hard to say that a character who appeared in 52 episodes of The Walking Dead and was in five seasons of the popular AMC drama died too soon, but that’s exactly the case for Katelyn Nacon’s character Enid.

Enid had a character that was always evolving. She went from a loner teenager to working with the leadership at the Hilltop and then training to become a doctor under Siddiq while starting a relationship with Alden.

All these versions of Enid felt fresh and after losing so many young people on the show, it felt nice to watch someone grow up and find their role in the zombie apocalypse. But that wouldn’t happen due to the Whisperers sending a message to the survivors.

Ending up with her head on one of the pikes making up the border wall, the hope of seeing what the future would hold for Enid was erased. And while Enid had a nice run on the show, there was still a lot to explore with the character that feels a bit unresolved.
