5. Theodore “T-Dog” Douglas

  • Debut: Episode 102
  • Death: Episode 304
  • Total run: 22 episodes
  • Appeared in: 20 episodes

One of the original characters from season 1 of The Walking Dead, T-Dog had a soft heart but also stood his ground when he was passionate about something. As part of the RV camp outside Atlanta where Rick’s family was staying, viewers already knew they could trust him.

Despite being on the show for quite a while, T-Dog never really got a chance to shine as an individual instead of a part of the group. While he did stand up for himself in the face of racism and spoke about the value of others, it wasn’t until the group arrived at the prison that he made a major move.

If not for T-Dog, a group of walkers may have devoured Carol. Instead, it was a selfless act from a big-hearted survivor that resulted in a fan-favorite and major character surviving for many seasons to come.

Had he survived past the prison, T-Dog could have been an asset when the group would go on scavenger runs or when deliberations happen. He could have evolved into a bigger leadership role but instead his life was cut short by the undead.
