Fear TWD season 6: 3 things we want to see from Victor Strand
Fear TWD season 6 is a chance for Victor Strand to return to his season 1 roots
When fans first met Victor Strand in Fear the Walking Dead season 1, he was sitting in a prison cell wearing a tuxedo. Talk about your first impressions. The smooth talking con man managed to free himself from his predicament and he, along with his new friend Nick Clark, ended up embarking on a journey through the apocalypse. Now, in Fear TWD season 6, things are changing rapidly for Victor Strand but fans want to see more of the OG con man.
Let’s face it: The con man is never too far away. Strand always has a plan. From the Abigail (the yacht) to Thomas Abigail’s ranch in Mexico early on to storing supplies in case the ballpark went bust and giving Virginia the missing starter for the SWAT van, he always has a plan.
Problem is, they’re not always good plans…
3 Things We Want to See From Victor Strand in Fear TWD Season 6
Wheeling and Dealing
Victor Strand is at his best when he’s making deals and putting plans into play. He knows exactly what kind of person Virginia is and he’s not going to let her win if he can help it. He has been through too much to let that happen, so he needs to get back to his scheming ways.
If he can’t charm Virginia, he can use the people in her inner circles and turn them against her, and honestly that would be fun to see because that is one of Victor Strand’s many talents.
Protect Family
Based on the trailer and promotional photos released earlier this summer, it looks like Strand and Alicia end up together. This is very important because Alicia has lost everyone in her family and Strand is someone who has been with her from the beginning. As they work to determine how to deal with their new reality, they need to lean on each other as much as possible.
Get By With a Little Help From Friends
One of Victor Strand’s biggest challenges in the apocalypse is to trust everyone around him. He has been a lone wolf in the past and as we saw with the SWAT van starter, his moves often alienate him from the group and in this new environment he can’t forget his friends.
He must make moves that benefit the whole group because they are just that: A group. A team. They can’t defeat Virginia without working together, even if they’re divided right now.
Season 6 could lead to some big changes in Strand’s life, but he needs to be careful that he thinks about the people around him just as much as he protects his own interests.
