The Walking Dead Alum Michael Rooker discusses his battle with COVID-19
Michael Rooker is well known for portraying Merle Dixon, the older brother of Daryl, in the series The Walking Dead. He attends the many comic conventions and other events, but with most of those being postponed until next year, little has been seen of Rooker. We now know that the reason for this is the actor did get hit by the virus and has now tested negative and is in full recovery.
Rooker shared the post below on his Facebook page, announcing that he has been fighting off the virus. He stated it had been quite the battle and that his body has finally won the war against the virus.
He wrote: “My body has won the WAR! COVID put up a pretty good fight… but bottom line, it ended up getting its ass knocked out! buy my immune system.
1,2, punch to the head, 2 body shots, and a left hook right uppercut combination.
End of Story….
Rooker out……”
Well the day is here this day….04 the month of 09 the year of our Lord 2020….. Great news has surfaced on this day….

In The Walking Dead, when Merle Dixon is first introduced, he wasn’t a likable guy. But In the end, he made a great sacrifice and tried to redeem himself of all his ugly behavior.
Rooker is well known for many characters he has played over the years. His portrayal of Yondu Udonta in the Guardian of the Galaxy films is one of his most popular. Fans flock to the cons to get their photo taken with Yondu.
The list of upcoming projects that Rooker is involved in is impressive. Included in this list is the 9th installment of the Fast and Furious franchise, F9, The Suicide Squad, The President is Missing, and A Good Man is Hard to Find. As well as a TV series What if….? which looks at pivotal moments in the Marvel universe and asks, “What if it didn’t happen that way?”
Rooker also made appearances in the movie Fantasy Island and a fun cameo in Brightburn.
We are happy to hear that Rooker has recovered from his fight with the Coronavirus.
