Happiest of birthday wishes go out to The Walking Dead alum Jon Bernthal

It has been quite some time since have seen Jon Bernthal as Shane Walsh in The Walking Dead. But, once you are a part of The Walking Dead family, you are always a part of it. Undead Walking wants to wish Jon Bernthal the happiest of birthdays today.

Way back in season one of The Walking Dead, we were introduced to Rick Grimes’ best friend and work partner Shane Walsh, who was played by Bernthal. Shane was a character you loved to hate. He was supposed to be Rick’s best friend, but he betrayed him on many levels.

Fans often speculate at how things would be different if Shane was still around and had to deal with villains in the series such as The Governor, Negan and Alpha. He had a short fuse as far as his temper went and probably would have taken matters into his own hands in dealing with these villains.

Norman Reedus, who plays Daryl Dixon in The Walking Dead, made a happy birthday shout out to Bernthal. Reedus stated that Bernthal is one of his favorite people on the planet.

The Walking Dead twitter page also shouted out to Bernthal, and many fans responded with their own birthday wishes.

When Bernthal left The Walking Dead, he went on to play Frank Castle/Punisher in The Punisher series. This was a great move on his part as fans loved Bernthal as this character.

He also did an outstanding job playing automobile executive Lee Iacocca in Ford vs. Ferrari alongside Matt Damon and Christian Bale.

He also starred in Viena and the Fantomes with Dakota Fanning, Evan Rachel Wood, Zoe Kravitz and fellow Walking Dead family member Frank Dillane, who was a cast member in Fear The Walking Dead.

Bernthal’s other upcoming projects include Small Engine Repair, Those Who Wish Me Dead and an untitled Sandra Bullock project. He will also star in a TV adaptation of the 80s film American Gigolo where he will reprise the role of Julian Kaye, which was made famous by Richard Gere in the original.

It will be exciting to see him in all of his upcoming projects. With the announcement of Tales of The Walking Dead, it would be interesting to see the appearance of Shane Walsh.

Once again, all of us at Undead Walking want to wish Jon Bernthal a very happy birthday!!
