5. A renewed focus

Your favorite character is starting to get a lot more screen time on The Walking Dead. That’s awesome! Seeing their face more regularly helps to make episodes more enjoyable and gives hope that they will get a bigger role going forward.

While that is true sometimes, if the focus on that character is too intense it could be time to start getting very worried. Sometimes, that focus is to build awareness for that individual before ripping them away from the show.

Focusing on individuals like Tyreese Williams, Beth Greene, Bob Stookey, Richard, and Jesus Rovia before their death helps to make their demise more powerful on the show, but it also can key fans in on the writers attempts to build that emotion before killing them off.

Hopefully, if your favorite character is getting a ton more screen time in current episodes of the show it is a positive thing. However, there should always be a lingering thought in the back of your head that it might be building up to an emotional farewell.
