Fear TWD season 6: Is John Dorie fitting in with Virginia’s community?

Fear TWD season 6 photos reveal that John Dorie seems to be fitting in well

John Dorie married June at the end of season 5 and it was the happiest time for him in a long while. Shortly thereafter he was separated from his beloved when Virginia’s people arrived, and now in new Fear TWD season 6 photos it looks like John Dorie is fairly well adjusted in her community. Could he be fitting in, or is he pulling the wool over Ginny’s eyes?

There’s a reason that John Dorie’s love story is so poignant. He found the woman of his dreams in the middle of the zombie apocalypse when she appeared out of nowhere while he was living his best life in his self-imposed isolation. June left, thinking it was in his best interest, but Fate intervened and brought them back together unexpectedly.

Their happiness was short lived when they were torn apart yet again.

Ginny knew that she couldn’t keep people together so she made sure to keep the newlyweds separated. Though we don’t yet know what happened after the events in the season 5 finale, thus far there has been no indication that John and June are in the same location. (This could explain the tear in June’s eye in the key art)

However, despite being ripped away from his beautiful bride, photos from season 6 suggest that John Dorie is fitting in nicely in Virginia’s network of communities. He’s sporting new clothes, a new hat and he even has his own key insignia. The members of Virginia’s communities wear those key insignias, too, so does that mean he’s fitting in? (Note: Strand is also seen wearing a key insignia)

Not only does he have a new wardrobe, but he still has his weapons, and if he can be trusted with his weapons then it suggests he is someone who is trusted in the community.

While it’s possible that John Dorie might find reasons to stay in Virginia’s community, there’s no way he’s ever going to accept being there without June and their friends. Even if the law man inside of him finds peace there, his soul will always cry out for the love of his life so there’s every reason to think that he’s biding his time until he can make a move.

It’s hard to imagine John Dorie leaving his past behind to become a full fledged member of Ginny’s community without the people he cares about, but in this strange world you never know until you’re facing those decisions head-on.
