After waiting for months, fans don’t want The Walking Dead season 10 finale spoiled

Spoilers are part of life. For some that’s a good thing and for others it’s a bad thing. For fans of The Walking Dead who have been awaiting the epic conclusion to the Whisperer War since April, it’s going to be a challenge to stay away from spoilers given that AMC+ is airing the episode on October 1. You can prevent the spread of spoilers and you can make it possible to avoid spoilers (sort of) by taking a few precautions.

This is not an article preaching people not to spoil The Walking Dead. It’s a gentle reminder that you can talk about the episode on social media without spoiling it for other people, and if you want to avoid spoilers you don’t have to hide under a rock for days on end.

It’s easy to say that people who don’t want to be inundated by spoilers should stay away from social media, but the truth is that these days people use social media to stay in touch with friends and loved ones and it’s also a destination for news. With everything happening in the world, staying off of social media for three days just isn’t feasible.

You’ve watched the finale and you want to talk about it. The easiest way to do that is to post a hashtag that indicates that there are spoilers in your conversation so that people can avoid your posts. You don’t have to abstain from talking about the episode completely, rather you can make it possible for people who don’t want to be spoiled to mute your hashtag until they’re ready to join in the conversation.

If you’re working to avoid spoilers, make sure you mute the hashtag “spoilers” and avoid searching things like “TWD” and “The Walking Dead” because there won’t be a way to separate spoiler and non-spoiler content.

Essentially, what it boils down to is playing it smart if you want to talk about The Walking Dead (or any show in the TWD Universe) ahead of the airdate. Properly labeling your posts and muting keywords will help keep the conversations flowing while also preserving the viewing experience of fellow members of the TWD Family.
