2) Together, We Have Each Other’s Backs

One of the main reasons I always advise being in a group in a zombie apocalypse is a simple one: If you’re alone, and busy fighting off one zombie, it’s all too easy for you to get attacked from behind by another.

Because of this, something as simple has having just one other person with you can mean a world of difference, as you can have a literal second set of eyes at your blindspot, helping you fight off zombies or hostiles that may be too numerous (Or too well positioned) for you to fight alone.

Additionally, having a second person can also help at those times when you’re most vulnerable, like when you’re sleeping. If you have someone you trust with you, you can get some much needed shut-eye while your partner stands vigil.

If you want a good example of this, look no further than Father Gabriel, who was helped out of a three-on-one situation with the last of the Whisperers’ siege team by the timely intervention of Maggie’s ninja friend, who cut down Gabriel’s attackers with relative ease.

If you ever needed a reason to have a team in a zombie apocalypse, this would be it.
