Alica might not be a zombie killing machine when Fear the Walking Dead season 6 returns.

On Saturday, panels were hosted at the virtual New York Comic-Con for every show in the #TWDUniverse which included one session previewing the return of Fear the Walking Dead this week. Among the guests on the panel was Alycia Debnam-Carey, known for playing Alica Clark.

One of the questions asked was directly for Alicia. A fan asked if viewers could expect to see a more kick-ass version in season 6 of the AMC zombie drama…and the response might not be one that fans of Alicia will want to hear.

Alicia said the answer is complicated, but that her character realized she doesn’t need to be a killing machine anymore. Instead, she stated that her character is more focused on her happiness now and might not be as action-oriented going forward.

What might this mean for Alicia in FearTWD season 6?

These words might frustrate fans who were hoping to see Alicia move on from painting trees and staying sheltered. Of course, it is always great to see the amazing characters on Fear the Walking Dead slicing their way through the undead in action-packed sequences, but not everything needs to be blood and gore to be amazing.

However, it would be nice for AMC to choose a direction for Alicia and follow through. In the past, there have been hints at her becoming the group’s leader or taking on a bigger role, only for the character to take a step backward and be part of the group working with the others.
