Lennie James celebrates his birthday on Fear The Walking Dead season 6 premiere day
October 11th, 2020 was a huge day for people within The Walking Dead fandom. After a year of being gone, fans got to enjoy the season 6 premiere of Fear the Walking Dead. This episode titled ‘The End is the Beginning’ was centered around Morgan Jones, 6 weeks after being shot by Virginia. It just so happens this show-stopping episode, focused on Morgan, aired on Lennie James’s own birthday!
Fans of The Walking Dead universe have been very lucky to have Lennie James for a full decade now. Morgan Jones made his entrance on the pilot episode of the main series and has now crossed the country to make his mark on Fear The Walking Dead. Arguably this character holds more importance than any of the other characters fans have met this far.
Morgan Jones saved Rick Grimes, so without him, the story would be drastically altered from the start. He saved Aaron and Daryl from their demise, connected back with Rick, and after he saved Carol from a savior hunting her down. He made impacts on King Ezekiel, Jesus, and countless others from the main show and crossed over and created a new family with the cast of Fear the Walking Dead.
Lennie himself has previously mentioned that Rick Grimes and Grace are two people who have greatly affected Morgan’s journey and that goes both ways. Characters aside, Lennie’s powerful acting has brought many fans to tears. He has created some of the most memorable moments in the history of the entire franchise with his incredible talent. The episode ‘Clear’ is on everyone’s top 10 favorite list.
While Lennie James is not a person who takes to social media often, that didn’t stop his co-workers and fans from celebrating him and his accomplishments on this special day. Hundreds of posts poured in from across the world sending Lennie much love. Jenna Elfman shared a hilarious but slightly inappropriate photo that would make “all life is precious” Morgan feel a tad embarrassed.
Colman Domingo, who is known for his flamboyant nature and comedy, posted a BTS video that shows Lennie James is also down for jokes and a fun time. However, the sweetest post comes from one of the sweetest ladies to grace Fear the Walking Dead, no pun intended. Karen David posted a collage of photos with a very kind message that confirms Lennie is a stellar person on and off-screen.
