1. Morgan Jones is dead

"“Morgan Jones is dead, and you are dealing with somebody else now.”"

This quote is one that is going to echo within the walls of The Walking Dead fandom until this entire universe comes to a close, and maybe not even then. Whether fans got chills or screamed out loud, there is no denying this is a hell of a quote to come from someone like Morgan Jones.

To expand, there is one moment that arguably fans found even more shocking than the quote, and that is his change in weapons. Morgan Jones has officially ditched his staff, this is not a warning or a test, fans are about to go on a crazy ride with this character that likely can’t even be predicted.

Ever since Morgan arrived back to the main group and connected with Rick Grimes, he had this staff. Even when he went back into clear mode during All Out War, he didn’t totally leave his staff behind. There was even a scene of him sharpening it in the main show, turning it from a defensive weapon to an offensive one. To leave it behind is scary.

Morgan has seemingly taken a bit of Emile’s look and horse and ridden off into the sunset to find his friends. While ditching his staff might be concerning to fans and rightfully so, what viewers need to look out for is him removing his wedding ring for any reason other than love. Without the ring, all of his old life is gone, and if Jenny isn’t symbolically watching, Morgan Jones might be too far gone.
