The Walking Dead: World Beyond 102 has a clear winner for the MVP crown

The Walking Dead: World Beyond has done a fantastic job so far with its storytelling. The characters have come across as very likable with plights that make viewers care about them. This second episode held quite a few character-building conversations that furthered the bonds these friends share.

The MVP for ‘The Blaze of Gory’ is a person that seemed very confident and sure of their abilities in the first episode. However, now they have been confronted with past demons and faced with finding their friends that could be in danger they have stepped up more than ever before.

This week’s MVP is Felix!

Watching Felix‘s father berate and disown him was absolutely devastating to so many fans. This is a reality that so many LGBTQ+ youth face and even though World Beyond is fiction, the words are real and they truly stung to hear them. Seeing young Felix stand up for himself and be shot down by the people who were supposed to love him the most was heartbreaking.

There is no doubt this still affects Felix and is the driving force for what he does now. He is haunted, but somehow he has managed to persevere and succeed far beyond what his biological parents could ever amount to. Even though he was cast out of his own home, he spends his time as the head of the security force helping other people feel safe and that is beautifully poetic.

Felix certainly deserves the MVP crown this week, but honestly, Undead Walking will bestow a forever honorary crown to him. Unfortunately, LGBTQ+ characters are few and far between in The Walking Dead universe and fans have never seen such a vulnerable display of this nature. Felix definitely has a place in the hearts of fans forever.
