Fear the Walking Dead season 6 started with a bang, and one person clearly deserves MVP.

Season 6 of Fear the Walking Dead started with an episode of massive proportions. If fans have learned anything from Morgan Jones’ time within The Walking Dead universe, it’s that this character can dominate the screen and carry an episode. Lennie James never fails to give his all and captivate an audience, and he nailed this episode.

During this episode, fans got to meet some new faces. Emile the bounty hunter and his dog Rufus, as well as Isaac his wife Rachel, and lastly their child Morgan. All of these new faces were very intriguing for a variety of reasons, however, one character clearly rose above the rest to launch themselves to the MVP position.

This week’s MVP is Isaac!

Cases could be made for all of the new characters being worthy of MVP, and even Morgan himself who evolved a lot in just one episode. Nothing would be possible though, without the help of Isaac. A collective group of sighs and frustration could be heard throughout the internet when he revealed he was unfortunately bitten before we ever met him.

Being bitten did possibly explain some of his actions, sticking his neck out for Morgan with the bounty hunter, and even just the amount he pushed Morgan forward in his own story. He may have turned a gun on Morgan but it was in desperation to try and save his child and he more than made up for it.

Isaac seemed like he was a very genuine and kind person, who wanted to help Morgan simply because he thought it was the right thing to do. In the end, he removed the bullet from Morgan’s chest and patched him up enough that he could really begin to heal. He found a place where a new community can grow. Most importantly, he gave Morgan his fight back.
