For season 1 episode 7, TWD: World Beyond focused on the backstory of Huck while the group in the present time went on a mission to get fuel for their vehicle to keep their trip to New York moving in the right decision.
Huck’s backstory was a traumatizing one and explains why she acts the way she does in some instances. She also kept giving advice to Hope about her secret, which would crush Elton if he learned the truth about his mom.
But it was the story of Silas that came to the forefront of the episode. His jealousy of Percy for flirting with Iris and distrust of Tony came to a head and things don’t look good for him heading into next week.
Here are the named characters who died:
Walter (Paul Teal)- A survivor taking shelter in the CRM fuel depot, Walter had been bitten by a walker but was also freaked out by finding people in the facility. He captured Hope and held her at gunpoint as Huck negotiated her release. Eventually, Huck made him think they could save him but shot him in the head since it was too late for them to amputate the limb.
Soldiers from the flashback – Corporal Simms (John Paul Steele), Private Owens (Michel Curiel), Wilkins (Dave MacDonald), Farmer (Ryan Price), and Drake (Gil Perez-Abraham) were all part of the group of soldiers tasked with wiping out a group of civilians during the early stages of the outbreak. Huck, unable to kill the adults and children behind the fence, took out her accompanying soldiers to save the civilian lives.
Tony Delmado (Scott Adsit) – Percy’s uncle was beaten and bloodied on the floor of a bathroom in the fuel depot. The magician was motionless and appeared to be dead. Nearby. Silas was found in a bathroom stall with his gigantic wrench in his hands and blood on him.
Other notable deaths
It seems like this episode had some other losses, including the group losing their trust for Silas and any relationship that may have developed between he and Iris. The impact of this episode should ripple throughout the entire series and make the survivors question things going forward.
