The Walking Dead universe’s new villains feel like the scariest parts of old ones.

Welcome back, to the newest installment of Connecting The Walking Dead!

In this week’s episode of World Beyond, we learned more about Silas, and why he had to leave Omaha, a problem we’ve seen more than a few times pop up across The Walking Dead universe.

We also learned a little bit more about World Beyond’s main villain, Lieutenant Kublek, and…the more we learn about her, the more familiar she seems, as she cast shadows of some of The Walking Dead’s greatest villains, even if those shadows are cloaked in a more refined shell.

What will come of these as the show carries on? It’s tough to say, though, I’m confident enough that what we saw this week will not be the last we see of these threads, and I’m certain that they will go on to play larger roles the further along we go.
