2) Sometimes, We Need Other People To Help Us Change

While on the topic of Sanjay, though he lived as a coward, he died as a hero, sacrificing himself to ensure that Janis and Alicia could get the guns of the sugar plant outpost’s rangers and destroy the warehouse herd.

…Of course, that decision to “sacrifice” himself only came after Strand stabbed him in the back of the leg, screamed, and shoved Sanjay to the ground in front of the rearguard of the herd.

My point is, sometimes, in order for us to improve ourselves, we need a little shove in the right direction from another person.

Whether that person is a friend or loved one encouraging or helping us to change ourselves, or an enemy, whose presence causes us to toughen up and smarten up in order to beat them, there are just some times where, in order for us to change, we need someone else to give us that push.

Just make sure that the person who helps you make this change isn’t someone who’s causing you to become a worse human being than the one you started out as. Don’t let people steer you into becoming a crueler, more selfish, more thoughtless person.
