Norman Reedus submits photography for LA auction

Norman Reedus supports LA Center of Photography auction with an original photo

Norman Reedus is an avid photographer who often hosts gallery shows, publishes books of his work and also donates many photos for worthy causes. He is now offering up a magnificent photo of his fellow castmate Seth Gilliam for an auction to support the LA Center of Photography. Gilliam is dressed in character as Father Gabriel from the series The Walking Dead.

For fans of the series, this photo is iconic as it shows Father Gabriel in full costume of his priest’s garb, which includes his damaged eye and is dated from 2019. It will be available for the auction on October 24 as Lot 95. Bidding will close on October 29 at 5 pm EDT.

Reedus shared information about the auction as well as his submitted photograph on his Twitter page.

The LA Center of Photography is hosting its 5th Annual Fundraising Gala “A Love Letter to LA” on October 24. This gala is their main fundraiser for the year. The Center is a non-profit organization that focuses on helping photographers of all ages and skills to hone their craft. There are many class offerings and events.

Reedus is currently taking preorders for his new book of photography entitled Portraits from the Woods.  This is a collection of photos of his fellow castmates and friend, including Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Lena Dunham, Dave Chapelle, Diana Kruger and some of his walker castmates in costume. Orders for this book will ship on October 31.

Often, Reedus is involved in fundraising for charities. He is currently donating profits from his gallery, Big Bald Gallary, to the COVID-19 Response Fund.  As of a week ago, over $30,000 has been raised and 1000s of masks have been donated.

Reedus has resumed filming The Walking Dead in Georgia for the bonus episodes of season ten. It is the hope that these episodes will be available sometime in early 2021.
