2) Family Comes First.

Your family (Whatever it may be) should always come first in a zombie apocalypse. This means you should never put other people before them, i.e., you shouldn’t sacrifice your family for the sake of someone else.

This might seem obvious, but, let’s think about things in the reverse for a minute: Imagine what you would think about a person you met who, upon meeting you, without even knowing if you were friendly or not, tried to sell out the people they were with.

Would you trust this person? Would you want this person as part of your group? No. Of course not, because, potentially, they are selling out the people who’ve been putting themselves in danger to help this person, betraying them for little more than the prospect of getting in good with people who, for all they know, will just as soon feed them to zombies.

You can’t do that to people who care about you, who risk their lives for you. If they’re willing to do that for you, you can’t do any less for them.

That also means that, sometimes, you have to put their needs ahead of your own. For example: If you have the option of running away with the lover of your dreams, or venturing into a zombie-infested hospital to find medical supplies to save your family…you’re going into that hospital, because those people would do it for you. That’s why family comes first.

…Besides, I don’t think this dream lover would really have much faith in you after you just abandoned your family for you own selfish wants. Kinda puts a damper on romantic getaways.
